Hobonichi Techo Journaling

I think Mother Nature is playing a cruel
trick. Instead of the old saying that March
comes "in like a lion, out like a lamb,"
we've had exactly the opposite here in
Ohio, USA!

Coming home from vacation was a rude
awakening. One day (where I was) in Florida
it was 78 degrees, and Ohio had 75 degrees!
Weird.

The Hobonichi Challenge for March
features Spring themes...

Hence the dandelions.

I do tend to draw my coffee cups a lot.
One day the challenge was Earl Grey
tea. Not sure why...but it works for
T day! Visit Bleubeard and Elizabeth
to see what goodies may
be shared this week!

I've always wanted to have a
Mad Tea Party...

outside beneath the cottonwoods, with
lots of odd tea cups and fun decorations.

Do you think the Mad Hatter would
make an appearance?

Hope your day is filled with sunshine
and creativity!

  1. Good afternoon, your journal pages are just so beautiful-I enjoy seeing what new pages you are creating. strange weather here in missouri-we skipped winter pretty much all season since friday though very cold and killing off everything that has blossoms on it-so not good for the fruit.
    Happy T day Kathy

  4. going thru your planner makes me so happy- brilliant illustrations Dianne! Boy you sure have been busy too. Yes, the March weather can be so crazy-like the nor'easter that dumped so much snow between last night and today!! :(:( Now's to dig everything out which is going to be a long, hard process... happy T day and hope things are now settled in your neck of the woods.

  5. Wow, I really enjoyed reading your journal pages, there was so much to catch up on today :-) . Your drawings are spectacular, firstly the lion, then the little blue bird, the fishes, the spring quote, the Mad Hatter and the 🐞 ladybug . I love the thought of filling your mug with sunshine too! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)

  6. I so enjoy looking at your journal pages. March weather seems to be all turned around everywhere, cold one day hot the next. I agree it would be great fun to have a Mad Hatter Tea Party in the garden. Maybe I will have to do that with all the GKids.

  11. Sorry I'm late getting here. This time change has me out of sorts.

March came in like a lion in KS, too. It's been cold and windy, but no moisture, so lots of fires in over half the state. Only one person died, but over 5500 cattle died or had to be put down from smoke inhalation. Lots of homes destroyed, too. One entire town lost most of the homes and businesses.

You've been having a LOT of potluck and family dinners since you got home. So glad you are eating so well.

What did you think of Victoria? Did you get to see all eight episodes? I loved the clothes and the architecture. It all looked and felt so authentic.

I'd love to have a Mad Hatter Tea Party, but I probably wouldn't be able to participate, because I don't have a hat. I do have a clock and a cat, though (grin).

Thanks for sharing the latest in your journal with us for T this Tuesday. And here's to a Mad Hatter Tea Party, too.

  14. Oh I so enjoy reading your journal and look at the drawings and see how many steps you have managed. (I don't get to 10.000 every days but most days). I'd love to have a Mad Hatter's tea party. I wonder if Johnny Depp would come if I invited him. That would be super!
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Lisca
